Vision Zero is a global initiative of the ISSA (International Social Security Association) that aims to improve worker safety, health, and well-being, as well as prevent work-related accidents and illnesses. September 21, 2021. Culmia, one of Spain’s leading real estate developers, announces its participation in the international Vision Zero campaign, an ISSA initiative that brings a transformative approach to the field of prevention and encompasses three dimensions: safety, health, and well-being at all levels of work. By joining this campaign, Culmia once again demonstrates its commitment to both its workers and all its partners, positioning itself at the forefront of policies and initiatives for worker prevention and protection. Since 2020, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the world’s leading professional body for professionals responsible for safety, health, and well-being, has aligned itself with the ISSA’s Vision Zero campaign, establishing an agreement to provide accredited training to Vision Zero trainers, thereby scaling the campaign to a strategic level—which is crucial for occupational safety and health. Vision Zero, promoted by the ISSA and also supported by EU-OSHA, (the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work), not only aligns with Culmia’s commitment to its employees but also aligns with the European Union’s guidelines and its strategy on occupational safety and health: EU 2021–2027. According to Juan Manuel Borrás, Culmia’s Director of Operations, “the main asset we have at Culmia is our professionals and employees, which is why it is essential to create an ecosystem where safety takes precedence in all areas and we are able to put everyone’s well-being at the center, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the company.”
