March 8, 2022.— Culmia, one of Spain’s leading real estate developers, announces an investment of more than 350 million euros to develop over 1,000 homes in ARPO (Pozuelo Oeste Development Area), the largest urban development project in the Madrid town of Pozuelo de Alarcón and one of the most prominent in the Community of Madrid.

The company, which is currently the largest landowner in the sector with approximately 18% of the total and has 104,200 m² of buildable area, will develop 16 projects consisting of buildings up to four stories tall and single-family homes.

In total, ARPO has 240 hectares, providing more than six hundred fifty thousand (656,000) square meters of buildable area to develop, over the next few years, more than 5,500 housing units for various types of private and affordable housing, low-density residential and single-family housing, as well as a wide range of commercial and community facilities.

ARPO boasts an exceptional location and is in high demand due to growing interest from residents of towns in the metropolitan area and the capital itself. It borders the neighborhoods of El Plantío and Aravaca to the north, the Casa de Campo to the east, the neighborhood of Aluche to the south, and the towns of Majadahonda and Boadilla del Monte to the west. This new, prime location is surrounded by residential developments and other low-density residential areas and is considered the largest urban development project in the municipality and one of the most important in Madrid.

According to Javier del Castillo, Culmia’s Central Regional Director, “ARPO is one of the most attractive projects currently underway in the Community of Madrid and represents an excellent opportunity to provide a high-quality solution to the growing demand in the area. This project complements other major urban developments in the region in which the company is also involved, such as Retamar de la Huerta in Alcorcón, Solana de Valdebebas in Madrid, and Valgrande in Alcobendas.”

All homes built in ARPO will meet the latest standards for quality, design, energy efficiency, and sustainability. The project also includes a large public green space with a bike path that will run through the development from north to south, parallel to Madrid’s M-40 highway.

Since 2013, Culmia has delivered more than 5,000 homes throughout Spain, and has a sales portfolio of 80 developments and 4,000 homes, as well as land to develop an additional 15,000 homes.
