October 3, 2024. Culmia, the real estate platform that brings together all the housing solutions on the market, welcomes its first tenants—the Masiques Group of Companies and Farmacia Motors—to one of its most iconic office buildings in Barcelona, the EDIFICI 6Ó Marina Building.
Located in the La Marina del Prat Vermell neighborhood, the EDIFICI 6Ó Marina Building has a total floor area of 5,472.5 m², comprising a ground floor and eight upper floors, and is situated at 19 Passeig de la Zona Francia, on the corner of Cal Cisó Street. This is a premium location due to its rapid emergence as a business district, where new projects are under construction that will further strengthen its economic and business profile.
An ideal location for logistics operations and healthcare services
The Masiques Group, a logistics and freight forwarding company founded more than 130 years ago, integrates all areas of the logistics chain into its operations. To optimize its operations and strengthen its market presence, the company has moved into the top two floors of the building—totaling 1,400 m²—due to its strategic location near the Port of Barcelona, with which the company maintains a close relationship.
For its part, Farmacia Motors, which offers a full range of pharmaceutical services, occupies the ground floor of the building and spans 250 m2 across that space. Its presence in this Barcelona neighborhood helps improve and strengthen access to healthcare services for both residents and workers.
Sustainability and Maximizing Natural Light
This building is part of the Culmia project, which—through three of its business areas (Build-to-Rent, residential, and office)— is driving the city’s urban development with three residential buildings plus this fourth building, the EDIFICI 6Ó Marina Building, which is intended for office use.
One of the building’s most notable features is its design, which is aimed at maximizing natural light and sunlight exposure, thanks to its expansive facades with large windows that allow light to enter throughout the day. It is also committed to sustainability, as it holds LEED GOLD certification, WELL GOLD certification, and an A energy rating. Additionally, it is connected to Ecoenergies’ DHC network, which includes a heating and cooling substation, and features parking spaces equipped with electric vehicle chargers.
The Marina del Prat Vermell area is located between the Zona Franca, La Fira de Barcelona, and La Ciudad de la Justicia. This project involves the redevelopment and urbanization of a 750,000 m² site, raising high expectations for the development of a new, fully urban, and strategically located area.
