- The new loan, signed with five leading financial institutions, ensures a stable source of funding to drive residential development and create new investment opportunities.
- The transaction allows the company to fully repay a previous loan of 153.8 million euros due in 2025 and strengthens its financial structure.
- The company had repaid part of the previous loan using its own funds, which, combined with the repayment, has reduced its leverage and strengthened its financial position to support its strategic plan.

December 18, 2025 — Culmia, the real estate platform that brings together the full range of housing solutions on the market, has finalized the refinancing of 100 million euros in corporate debt through a syndicated loan arranged with five Spanish financial institutions. The transaction allows the company to fully repay a previous loan of 153.8 million euros, which was due to mature in 2025, while also aligning its debt profile with the company’s business outlook.
The new loan has an initial term of three years, with the option to extend it for an additional year, providing Culmia with a stable and predictable financing framework to support its strategic plan.
The financing is structured as a syndicated loan and is intended to support Culmia’s day-to-day operations across its various business lines: residential development for sale and rent, affordable housing, and land management and development in some of the country’s major urban development projects.
In conjunction with the new financing, the company has proceeded to repay the remaining balance of the previous loan, resulting in a further reduction in leverage and greater financial strength to support its strategic plan.
“The continued support of a stable core of financial institutions demonstrates the banking sector’s confidence in Culmia, in our ability to execute projects, and in the visibility of our project pipeline. Having solid corporate financing that is tailored to the company’s reality and strategy allows us to continue driving residential developments, developing new land, and capitalizing on investment opportunities,” explains Juan Carlos Urbano, Culmia’s chief financial officer.
The loan has been structured as a syndicated loan involving five leading banks, with BBVA and Banco Santander serving as lead arrangers, along with other domestic financial institutions, including Banco Sabadell, Kutxabank, and Bankinter.
With this transaction, Culmia strengthens its position as one of the key players in the Spanish residential market, while gaining the flexibility to keep pace with the sector’s growth, particularly in areas such as affordable housing, where the company has accumulated experience and a significant number of projects that have been awarded and are under development.
