November 19, 2025 — Culmia, the real estate platform that brings together all housing solutions on the market, begins construction on 117 affordable rental units in Benidorm, corresponding to Lot 1 awarded to the company by the EVHA, the Valencian Housing and Land Agency (EVHA), which is part of the Valencian Regional Government, in October of last year.
This project, for which Culmia anticipates a total investment of nearly 26 million euros, also includes the development of Lot 7 of the same affordable rental housing plan, which consists of 91 homes in Valencia. Thus, the company is building 208 homes in the Valencian Community and promoting the development of affordable housing in the region.
The development for Lot 1 consists of a total of 117 units in a single building, offering 1- and 2-bedroom options, as well as garages and storage units. As for their location, they are situated on Moralet Avenue, next to the Intempo skyscraper and the Sunset Waves apartments. Additionally, the homes have an energy efficiency rating of A— the highest possible—and are BREEAM-certified.
In this way, Culmia is launching a pioneering initiative in the area of affordable long-term rentals in the municipality of Benidorm, marking a milestone in the promotion of affordable housing in the area, in line with its commitment to ensuring access to housing to meet the residential needs of the Valencian Community.
As for the delivery date, the first families are expected to be able to move into their homes by the end of 2027.
In the words of Josep María Cases, Culmia’s regional director for Catalonia, Levante, and the Balearic Islands: “The start of construction on these 117 homes in Benidorm marks a very important milestone for Culmia and for the Valencian Community. This project reflects our commitment to promoting affordable housing, as well as to public-private partnerships aimed at addressing one of the most pressing social needs: access to decent housing.”
