June 7, 2022 — Culmia, one of Spain’s leading real estate developers, is launching Culmia Can Mare, its first development in the Balearic Islands. It consists of 88 homes with 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom layouts ranging from 78 m² to 136 m². In addition, the residential complex also features ground-floor units with private gardens and 2- and 3-bedroom duplex penthouses with spacious sun terraces. The homes also include garages and storage units.
One of the most notable features of this development—and what sets it apart—is its common areas; in fact, in this part of the Balearic capital, there are no other new-construction housing developments that offer common areas. Culmia Can Mare features landscaped areas, a sun deck, and a community pool for both children and adults.
The development is well connected to both downtown Palma via Calle Aragón and the rest of the city via the Vía Cintura. It is located in an established residential area that offers all the necessary amenities. In addition, it features a wide variety of green spaces, such as the Nelson Mandela Park.
In line with the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, Culmia Can Mare has a B energy rating. The buildings are equipped with an air-source heat pump system for domestic hot water, thereby reducing costs and helping the environment, and feature both thermal and acoustic insulation consisting of laminated plasterboard lining.
According to José March, Culmia’s Eastern Regional Director, “We are very pleased to inaugurate our first development in Mallorca. What’s more, this is the perfect development for families who want to take advantage of the recreational amenities available in the complex: a pool, a sun deck, landscaped areas… and with housing options to suit every need, including up to 4-bedroom units that are spacious and offer outdoor living, which are most in demand among families, as confirmed by our report ‘The Buyer’s Journey in Spain,’ since 54% of buyers are looking for 3-bedroom homes; 24.1% prefer 2-bedroom homes; and 17% are looking for 4-bedroom homes or larger.”
Culmia is focusing on the Balearic Islands with its first development—a region that is highly attractive due to its climate and natural surroundings, appealing to both first-time homebuyers and those looking for new construction.
Since 2013, Culmia has delivered more than 5,000 homes throughout Spain and has a sales portfolio of 80 developments and 4,000 homes, as well as land to develop 15,000 more homes.
