Green Building Council España (GBCe), or the Spanish Council for Sustainable Building, is the leading organization driving the transition toward a sustainable model in the building sector.
It is a platform for networking and dialogue that provides cutting-edge information and training to guide and assist members in the transition toward sustainable construction, with a focus on people’s well-being.
GBCe is an independent, cross-sector nonprofit association that ensures the participation of all stakeholders in developing solutions for sustainable construction. It offers tools for evaluating and certifying buildings, is specifically tailored to the Spanish market, and takes social, environmental, and economic factors into account when analyzing a building’s life cycle.
The benefits we enjoy at Culmia as associate members stem from the fact that the Green Building Council Spain (GBCe) pursues the following goals and objectives:
- To serve as a spokesperson and representative of civil society on all matters related to sustainability in construction in our country.
- Collaborate with public administrations, universities, corporations, organizations, and national and international associations to promote the principles and best practices in the design and construction of sustainable buildings.
- To provide the sector with up-to-date methodologies and tools that are internationally recognized and allow for the objective evaluation and certification of building sustainability.
- To contribute to the market’s transition toward more sustainable construction.
- To carry out cooperation and research activities at the national and international levels in pursuit of improvements in the field of sustainable construction.
