Barcelona, June 30, 2026 — Culmia has begun construction on Culmia Xaloc Parc de l’Alba, its new residential development in Parc de l’Alba, one of the most promising new urban areas in the Barcelona region. Located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, the project will feature 66 homes with 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms, designed to accommodate a variety of housing needs and lifestyles.

Located next to Sant Cugat del Vallès and at the foot of the Serra de Collserola, the Parc de l’Alba urban development project calls for the construction of more than 5,000 homes in a location that combines proximity to the Catalan capital, connections to centers of economic and business activity, and a natural setting of great scenic beauty.

With this development, Culmia is strengthening its role as one of the driving forces behind Parc de l’Alba, where it has two residential projects totaling 168 homes as part of its joint venture with Patron Capital.

In the words of Josep Maria Cases, Culmia’s regional director for Catalonia and the East: “The Barcelona metropolitan area plays an absolutely key role in the development of the residential sector due to its unique combination of strategic location, economic dynamism, and excellent transportation connections. This region is home to hubs of innovation, business activity, and high-value-added employment, and at the same time boasts a transportation infrastructure—both road and rail—that enables fast and efficient connectivity with Barcelona and the entire metropolitan area.”

This ability to integrate housing, economic activity, and accessibility is essential for addressing new housing demands, especially in a context of severe supply constraints in the capital. Well-planned developments in municipalities within the metropolitan area contribute not only to expanding the housing stock but also to balancing urban growth, sustainability, and quality of life, thereby fostering a more cohesive and competitive city model on a European scale.”

A development designed with residents’ daily comfort in mind

The homes, designed by Barch Arquitectes, feature finishes and materials selected from prestigious brands, as well as kitchens equipped with high-performance appliances. In addition, buyers will be able to customize materials and finishes from a range of options, tailoring each space to their preferences and needs.

The residential complex will feature a community pool surrounded by landscaped areas, designed as spaces for relaxation, socializing, and outdoor enjoyment. It will also include a Cardioprotected Area, a Smart Box Area to facilitate package delivery, a Social Club Area for various community uses and activities, and a Gym Area to help you stay in shape.

Convenience also extends to transportation and storage, with 82 parking spaces for cars, 41 spaces for motorcycles, and 66 storage units. As a result, each unit will have one—or, in some cases, two—parking spaces.

The development will have an A energy rating, thanks to the incorporation of solutions designed to reduce energy consumption and improve the long-term efficiency of the homes. To this end, the project includes energy-efficient equipment and a building envelope design that contributes to energy savings and indoor comfort.

Culmia Xaloc Parc de l’Alba will also integrate various Culmia digital services designed to enhance the home-buying and home-ownership experience, such as CulmiaHome, which allows users to manage access to common areas from their cell phones; Zenova, to simplify utility management; electronic signatures to finalize reservations and contracts; and other tools to assist buyers.

Since 2013, Culmia has delivered more than 7,400 homes in over 115 developments.
