February 6, 2025 – Culmia, the real estate platform that brings together all housing solutions on the market, has delivered 222 build-to-rent units to CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM), the sale of which it announced in 2022.

This project is located in the El Gorg neighborhood of Badalona (Barcelona) and is the result of the urban redevelopment of an industrial area.

The development consists of 222 two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes, plus 222 storage units, 378 parking spaces, and five commercial units— three of which are intended for commercial use and the remaining two for multifunctional activities. In addition, the development features a pool area, bicycle parking, and a children’s play area.

In terms of sustainability, this project has an A energy rating and is in the process of being validated to receive the BREEAM New Construction “Very Good” certification. Its commitment to decarbonization is total, achieved through the complete electrification of energy demand using air-source heat pumps and renewable energy. This project not only sets new standards for energy efficiency through significant reductions in emissions and energy savings but also offers a digitized and personalized environment, enabling real-time monitoring of energy consumption and control of home temperature—making it a smart home while significantly reducing its environmental impact.
