- These are one- to three-bedroom units, featuring parking spaces, storage rooms, a swimming pool with a sun deck, a community gym, a locker room, a fully equipped multi-sport court, an access control booth with a concierge service, a coworking space, and green spaces and children’s play areas.
- A few weeks ago, Jorge Rodrigo, the Community of Madrid’s Councilor for Housing, Transportation, and Infrastructure, presided over the ceremony to hand over the first affordable housing units under the VIVE Plan to residents of Alcorcón.

Culmia, Spain’s leading residential real estate project management platform, is delivering a new affordable housing development as part of the Madrid Regional Government’s Plan VIVE in Alcorcón. This development, consisting of 134 homes, joins those delivered a few weeks ago in the same municipality, which now has a total of 274 affordable housing units thanks to this project.
This development consists of one- to three-bedroom units, including 15 one-bedroom apartments, 93 two-bedroom apartments, and 26 three-bedroom units, all with terraces. Additionally, 4% of the units are accessible for people with limited mobility. In addition, all units come with garage spaces and storage rooms, and the complex features a wide variety of common areas, including a swimming pool with a sun deck, a community gym, locker rooms, a fully equipped multi-sport court, an access control booth with concierge service, a coworking space, and green spaces and children’s play areas.
With regard to sustainability, this development stands out for having received a BREEAM Excellent sustainability prequalification, which certifies that it meets the highest sustainability standards and promotes rational and efficient energy consumption.
The development is located in Alcorcón’s Ensanche Sur, a new but already well-established area that offers all the necessary amenities within easy reach, as well as several green spaces in the surrounding area.
According to Jaume Borràs, Culmia’s business director, “We are very pleased to have helped provide Alcorcón with nearly 300 more affordable rental homes. Being part of these kinds of projects makes us proud and motivates us to continue working in this direction.”
As for the features of the homes, they are delivered unfurnished, although they do include modular closets in the bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with base and wall cabinets, a stainless-steel oven, an induction cooktop, and a range hood. The bathrooms, meanwhile, are fully equipped. Heating and cooling are provided by a centralized aerothermal system.
The homes in this development were designed by the architectural firm Cano y Escario, built by Avintia, and marketed and managed by Sogeviso.
The VIVE Plan is a project launched by the Community of Madrid under an administrative concession model that provides for the construction of affordable rental housing. Culmia has been awarded Lot 3 of its first phase and the single lot of the second phase. Lot 3 consists of 12 plots and 1,763 housing units and includes land in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Tres Cantos, Alcorcón, Alcalá de Henares, and Getafe. The Plan VIVE II consists of 1,137 housing units located on five plots in the municipalities of Boadilla del Monte, Pinto, and Colmenar Viejo.
