November 14, 2024—Culmia, the real estate platform that brings together all the housing solutions on the market, announces the start of construction on its Culmia Port Montjuïc development, located in Barcelona’s La Marina neighborhood, a strategically located area with great growth potential.
The development consists of a total of 25 units ranging from 85 m² to 114 m², with 2 or 3 bedrooms, terraces, parking spaces, and storage units. In addition, Culmia Port Montjuïc’s common areas include a community pool on the penthouse level and a sun deck where families can enjoy the warmer months together.
In line with Culmia’s commitment to sustainability, the residential complex has a B energy rating, ensuring sustainable and energy-efficient homes in the long term by making the most of all materials and finishes through the use of equipment and a building envelope design that incorporates materials designed to minimize energy consumption.
Culmia Port Montjuïc is located just 15 minutes from downtown Barcelona, in the attractive La Marina neighborhood—an area where Culmia has also spearheaded a transformation process focused on three main areas: rental housing, homes for sale, and office space.
The development is also very well connected by public and private transportation. The area has access to major roads such as Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanas and Gran Vía de Hospitalet, with connections to the C-31, B-20, and B-10—the latter two connecting to the C-58, and the B-10 providing access to the A-2. It is also close to major infrastructure, such as the port and the airport.
It also offers quick and easy access to several of Barcelona’s iconic landmarks, such as Montjuïc Hill, museums like the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Miró Museum, and Poble Espanyol, as well as lookout points with panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea.
According to Josep María Cases, Culmia’s Regional Director for Catalonia, “the start of construction on Culmia Port Montjuïc continues the transformation of the La Marina neighborhood, a strategic location in Barcelona with great growth potential. This development combines quality, energy efficiency, and functionality, all within a dynamic and rapidly expanding area that offers residents a wide range of services.”
In May of this year, Culmia announced at an event in the La Marina neighborhood the completion of its 5,472.5 m² EDIFICI 6Ó Marina Building project in the district. In addition, in the La Marina del Prat Vermell neighborhood, the developer already has a project under construction, Culmia MarCelOna, consisting of 152 private-market homes and 192 affordable housing units. And here as well, in the Build-to-Rent sector, Culmia developed Vila Bonaplata, a project comprising 210 private-market units intended for the rental market.
Since 2013, Culmia has delivered more than 7,400 homes in over 115 developments.
