- The development was designed by the Galician contemporary architecture firm Díaz y Díaz Arquitectos, with a focus on values such as environmental integration, sustainability, energy efficiency, and construction quality.

Culmia, the real estate platform that brings together all the housing solutions on the market, has begun construction on Culmia Aires da Ponte, a 45-unit residential complex in Pontevedra. The building features three underground basement levels below street level housing garages and storage units; a ground floor with three commercial spaces, storage units, and building entrances; and six additional floors above the roof dedicated to residential units.
The homes are available in 2- to 4-bedroom layouts, ranging from 95 m² to 155 m², and all include garages and storage rooms. They are exterior-facing, and most feature terraces. In addition, they stand out for their abundant natural light and comfortable temperature, thanks not only to their exterior design but also to their layout and southwest orientation, which allows for direct sunlight throughout the day. Furthermore, the fact that the development is set well apart from other developments and homes provides greater privacy and tranquility, as well as more natural light and ventilation.
The Díaz y Díaz Arquitectos firm brings its essence to Culmia Aires da Ponte
Another of the most notable aspects of Culmia Aires da Ponte is that it was designed by the Galician contemporary architecture firm Díaz y Díaz Arquitectos. The essence of this firm lies in the application of values such as environmental integration, sustainability, energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, rationality, and construction rigor in its projects.
Culmia Aires da Ponte is a building with a B energy rating that, thanks to the combination of its ventilated facade featuring local stone slabs and its centralized, high-efficiency geothermal heating system, helps reduce energy consumption and protects the environment. This rating results in CO2 emissions savings equivalent to what 24 trees would absorb in a year, energy consumption savings equivalent to 17,223 kWh/year, and financial savings of €1,396/year, compared to an E energy certification.
In addition, Culmia Aires da Ponte features a heart-safe zone for the comfort and peace of mind of families.
Great connections
The development is located in a residential area in the La Seca neighborhood, next to the historic center of Pontevedra. It is very close to the Tirantes Bridge and on the banks of the Lérez River. It is a 7-minute walk from downtown. This is a booming area with all the necessary services and amenities.
In addition, Culmia Aires da Ponte is located near major highways such as the N-560 and the AP-9, the highway that connects to Vigo, Santiago de Compostela, and A Coruña.
Sustainable homes that offer savings in energy consumption and costs
According to Javier del Castillo, Culmia’s regional director for the North and Central regions, “We are very pleased to be able to begin construction on these 45 new homes in Pontevedra, a city that’s perfect for families looking for a spacious home with plenty of natural light and meticulous attention to detail. “In addition to their location, these homes stand out for their high level of sustainability, which leads to savings in both energy consumption and costs.”
With these, since 2013, Culmia has already delivered more than 7,000 homes across more than 100 developments throughout Spain. It currently has 89 developments totaling more than 7,500 homes in the development phase. Of these, a total of 35 developments—representing 3,600 homes—are under construction and will be available for both sale and rent.
