¿Conoces los trucos para organizar un trastero? Ordenar un trastero y aprovechar todo el espacio es fundamental. Contar con uno es un lujo, pero para ello debes tenerlo lo más ordenado posible.
One of the “drawbacks” that people who like to keep things organized face is that they tend to keep more things than they actually need. That’s why it’s essential to organize and label items and have the right supplies, along with a well-planned layout of the furniture.

Commitment to Modular Storage
It’s the best solution for adapting to your changing needs at any given time, because its components can be modified: shelves that are easy to move and rearrange, boxes on wheels or that can be stacked underneath others, and adjustable shelves.
As a tip, try to avoid very tall shelves because if you can’t reach the very top, everything will tend to pile up on the lower shelves. And to ensure they can safely hold everything you put on them, make sure they’re made of metal and don’t forget to anchor them to the wall—this will help prevent accidents.
The storage room serves other purposes as well
It’s normal not to have enough space and to use the storage room for various things. For example, to keep the washing machine and/or the iron there. Nowadays, there are smart solutions that combine storage with laundry and ironing. To do this, even if you don’t have much space, set aside one area exclusively for the washing machine and ironing board, as well as space to put away dirty and/or clean clothes.
The same goes if you have to share a storage room or garage with a pantry. Set aside one or two spaces to store food items, as well as pots, pans, etc.
Organize everything using boxes and labels
It’s important—and quite useful—to store everything in labeled boxes, so you know what’s inside and don’t end up going crazy. These can be clear plastic boxes, wooden boxes, airtight containers, etc. You can use them to store food, clothes, cleaning and hygiene products, Christmas decorations, or anything else you can think of.
What about the clothes?
Just like in the previous point, if it’s clothing you don’t wear regularly, you can store it in boxes so the garments don’t absorb odors or get damaged. Otherwise, you can use closets to store winter coats, well-labeled stackable clear boxes or fabric boxes, vacuum-sealed bags, or various solutions for storing out-of-season shoes.
