October 22, 2025- Culmia, the real estate platform that fully concentrates housing solutions in the market, has been recognized at the APCE Catalonia 2025 Awards in the ‘Urban Regeneration and Rehabilitation’ category for its Themis Riera project.
Specifically, the category recognizes those actions that contribute to urban development and values aspects such as inclusion, sustainable commitment and improvement of the quality of the urban environment, among others.
This mixed development, which was completed last September, includes 85 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes with terraces, together with an 8,700 m² residence for the elderly with 190 beds, two commercial premises and more than 6,400 m² of green areas. The complex also has a community swimming pool and solarium on the roof of one of the residential buildings.
Themis Riera represents a model of integrated urban planning that combines housing, services and community infrastructure in the same environment, promoting sustainability, innovation and quality of life in the Sants neighborhood. The residence for the elderly, currently in the process of BREEAM certification, also reinforces Culmia’s commitment to the development of sustainable buildings aligned with social needs.
The project, which is part of Culmia’s commitment to the urban transformation of the Sants district, aims to guarantee access to housing, diversify uses and promote a sustainable and cohesive urban model.
In this way, the award recognizes Culmia’s ability to promote residential projects in Catalonia that offer quality housing solutions and integrate criteria of sustainability, innovation and regeneration of the urban environment.
The award ceremony, which was held yesterday afternoon at the CaixaForum in Barcelona, brought together the sector’s agents who have stood out for their work in the promotion and construction of housing in Catalonia and their status as key agents in generating value and boosting the economy, progress and welfare of Catalan society.
Ramón Casanovas, director of Urban Planning at Culmia, as well as Mónica Romero, manager of Promociones en Culmia, collected the award in the category of ‘Urban regeneration and rehabilitation’, in line with the company’s commitment to improving the environment of Catalonia.
In the words of Juan Manuel Borrás, Operations Director of Culmia: “This award is the result of our commitment to sustainability and integrated urban planning. Themis Riera is an example of how we understand urban regeneration: creating projects that bring real value to cities, integrating housing, services and green spaces that improve people’s lives”.
