VAT
Value Added Tax. This is an indirect tax on consumption. It is a percentage increase in the price of each item we buy and each service we receive. In each purchase we pay the price of the good plus the percentage of tax applied to its cost.
IBI
Real estate tax. This is a direct tax levied on the ownership of real property rights over any real property located in the municipality that collects the tax.
