Culmia invests 350 million in ARPO, the largest residential project in Pozuelo de Alarcón

08 of March of 2022

  • The developer has about 105,000 m² of residential land zoned for building for the development of 16 single-family and multi-family developments that will total about 1,050 homes.

8 March 2022. Culmia, one of Spain's leading real estate developers, announces an investment of more than 350 million euros in the development of more than 1,000 homes in ARPO (Pozuelo West Distribution Area), the largest urban project in the Madrid town of Pozuelo de Alarcón and one of the most prominent in the Community of Madrid.

The company that, at present, is the largest owner of the sector with approximately 18% of the total, and has 104,200 m² of land zoned for building, will develop 16 projects distributed in buildings of up to 4 storeys and in single-family homes.

As a whole, ARPO has 240 hectares in which more than six hundred and fifty thousand (656,000) square meters of buildable area are approved to develop during the coming years more than 5,500 homes for different uses of free and subsidised housing, low density residential and single-family homes, as well as a wide range of tertiary uses and facilities.

ARPO has an exceptional location and is in great demand as a result of the growing interest of the residents of the localities of the metropolitan area and the capital itself. It is bordered on the north by the neighbourhoods of El Plantío and Aravaca, on the east by the Casa de Campo, on the south by the neighbourhood of Aluche, and on the west by the towns of Majadahonda and Boadilla del Monte. This superb new environment is surrounded by urban complexes and other low-density residential districts and is considered the largest urban development project in the municipality and one of the most important in Madrid.

For Javier del Castillo, regional director at Culmia, "ARPO is one of the most attractive projects currently underway in the Community of Madrid and is an excellent opportunity to provide a quality solution to the growing demand in the area. This project complements other major urban developments in the region in which the company is also a participant, such as Retamar de la Huerta in Alcorcón, Solana de Valdebebas in Madrid and Valgrande in Alcobendas".

All homes developed in ARPO will meet the latest standards of quality, design, energy efficiency and sustainability. The project also includes a large public green area with a cycle path that will run through the development from north to south, parallel to the M-40 road in Madrid.

Since 2013, Culmia has delivered more than 5,000 homes all over Spain and has a sales portfolio that includes 80 developments and 4,000 homes with land to develop 15,000 more.
