Culmia closes an agreement with Citibox to install smart residential mailboxes in the 3,771 affordable rental housing units of the CAM and the Madrid City Council

• Adding this service to Culmia's developments means residents can receive and return packages from their homes without having to worry about the courier’s delivery or collection time.
• The first mailboxes were already installed in the buildings in February, providing an added value of services to Culmia’s housing developments.

2 April 2024. –Culmia, the leading residential real estate project management platform in Spain, has signed an agreement with Citibox, the trailblazing technology platform and leader in residential mailbox solutions for receiving and returning e-commerce packages, which will allow home users to conveniently receive and return online purchases at and from their homes.

Through this alliance, Citibox smart residential mailboxes will be installed in the Culmia’s developments of the Madrid Regional Government’s Plan Vive, as well as in the City Council's Affordable Housing Project. The agreement covers 24 developments, reaching a total of 3,771 homes.

The developments that can avail of this service are located in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Alcorcón, Alcalá de Henares, Getafe, Alcorcón, Tres Cantos, Boadilla del Monte, Pinto and Colmenar Viejo, as well as Madrid city.

The first of these smart mailboxes were installed this February in the Alcorcón and Tres Cantos developments.

Adding this service means residents who shop online can receive and return packages from their homes, without having to worry about the courier’s delivery or collection time.

As well as the advantages offered by the service, its use by residents makes a positive contribution to the transformation of cities by making them more sustainable environments. Because all deliveries are made at the first time attempt, this means fewer delivery van trips and less traffic congestion, reducing CO₂ emissions per package delivered in daytime deliveries by 52% and night deliveries by 69%.
